Ajibola Ero-Phillips is a seasoned treasury professional with over 20 years of experience across treasury management, foreign exchange trading, fixed income securities, asset and liability management, and derivatives. He currently serves as Treasurer at Quest Merchant Bank Limited, where he leads the Bank's treasury function, overseeing trading activities, liquidity management, and asset-liability management to support sustainable growth and financial performance.
Before his appointment as Treasurer, Ajibola served as Chief Dealer at FBNQuest Merchant Bank, overseeing the Bank's treasury trading activities. He joined the Bank in 2015 as Head of Foreign Exchange Trading and FCY Liquidity Management, establishing the foreign exchange trading desk as a major revenue-generating unit within the Financial Institutions and Capital Markets Division. Prior to joining the Bank, he held treasury roles at FCMB and Ecobank.
Ajibola holds an MBA in Finance & Consulting from Wake Forest University, where he received the Robert N. White Award for Academic Excellence, and a B.Sc. in Economics from Olabisi Onabanjo University. He also holds the Treasury Dealership Certificate from CIBN/FMDA, is a Fellow of the FMDA, and previously served as an Exco Member of the FMDA FX Workgroup. He has completed training programmes with Euromoney and ICAP, as well as the Securities Trading Simulation and Citibank Bourse Game.
